Now available for auction is this custom 991 GT3 RS Cabriolet by Wicked Motor Works.  Beginning with a 2012 Carrera S Cabriolet, this 991 was brought to the specialists at Wicked Motor Work in California to undergo a one-of-a-kind GT3 RS style conversion including all-new body panels, a center exit exhaust, carbon fiber accents, and a completely reupholstered custom interior in leather and Alcantara.  Over $200k was invested in the conversion and the car retains many desirable factory options including Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), the Sport Chrono Package, and Bose Surround Sound System.  A true showstopper, this incredibly unique no-expense-spared build is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Mississippi while showing just over 19k miles on the odometer.

The original bodywork of this Carrera S was swapped out in favor of GT3 RS style components including the front and rear bumpers, hood, quarter panels, rockers, louvered front fenders, decklid, and rear wing.  A center-exit exhaust was also equipped along with GT3 RS style fender liners, air ducting, and OEM Porsche SportDesign mirrors.  The body was finished in a custom Rosso Red color by Wicked Motor Works and dressed in carbon fiber details including the rear engine cover, diffuser, front valence, side skirts, mirror stems, intake bezels, fender louvers, and rear wing end caps.  Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  The calipers have been painted yellow and a set of staggered 20” / 21” HRE wheels have been equipped and mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Inside, the cabin has been completely redone in black leather with contrasting red Alcantara details, deviated red stitching, and carbon-fiber trim.  The original Adaptive Sport Seats Plus have been reupholstered in matching leather/Alcantara with custom Wicked RS embroideries in the headrests.  Carbon fiber Sport Seat backrests were added along with custom carbon fiber door sills, red seatbelts, carbon fiber door handles, red instrument dials, red-painted air vent slats, and a custom SportDesign steering wheel in leather and carbon fiber.  At an original sticker price of over $128k, this 991 also came equipped with the following factory options:

  • 1V        Cabriolet Roof in Black
  • 250      Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
  • 276      Automatically dimming mirrors
  • 342      Seat heating (front)
  • 352      Porsche Dynamic Chassis Cntrl
  • 541      Seat ventilation (front)
  • 603      Porsche Dynamic Light System
  • 625      Porsche Entry & Drive
  • 630      Light design package
  • 640      Sport Chrono Package
  • 680      BOSE(R) Surround Sound System
  • 690      SiriusXM(R) & HD Radio(R) rcvr
  • 693      6-disc CD/DVD changer
  • 762      Launch vehicle
  • 840      SportDesign steering wheel
  • A1        Black
  • AJ        Black leather front seats
  • P07      Adaptive Sport Seats Plus
  • P37      BOSE
  • P3C      Prem Pkg Plus w 18-way seats
  • ZAA     Auto AC

This first-generation 991 Carrera S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine rated at 400 HP and 325 lb.-ft of torque.  The rear wheels are driven through a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission which, paired with the optional Sport Chrono Package, provides a 0-60 time of as little as 4.3 seconds.  The optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) feature is also equipped which employs an active anti-roll system to reduce lateral body movement when cornering.  The CARFAX report shows routine dealer maintenance throughout the years with the last documented service carried out in 2020 at 19,036 miles.

This sale will include a clean title.  Unlike any other Porsche on the road, this custom Wicked RS Cabriolet presents a very special opportunity.

Probably won’t hit reserve (as was the case on ebay) and probably a bear to resell after a few more miles on it, but would b one hell of a fun daily driver in the meantime!?

Even though the donor is just a Carrera S, this unique and expensive build must be worth north of $100,000.00. If it had three pedals, I would be bidding to win it. It is a fantastic looking 911, both inside and out!

  • MotorcarsofJackson (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@charlesy_seruya .. This car is 5.25 inches from the ground to the bottom of the spoiler. We have a 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS that is 4.25 inches from ground to bottom of spoiler. We have a 2018 GT3 that is 4.75 from the ground. We have a 2020 Carrera S Cab that is 6.25 from ground to bottom of the spoiler. We do not have another 991 911 in stock to measure.

I’ve never owned a 911, but have some Ferraris and Astons.
Thoughts about this being my first 911?

@Krazyoneis .....correction- Collision Repair Facility - not Collision Shop....is how the dmv report reads. That’s what they called the place that did the customization. Nothing more was implied...

  • charlesy_seruya (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@MotorcarsofJackson @krazyoneis thank you for the clarification!! It’s a beauty.

  • Krazyoneis (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@charlesy_seruya . Slow down big boy. No implication stated or implied. Only using the same language found in the cars dmv history.

As for the paint, i also noticed dmv stated color was black, which to me meant a re paint. For me that’s an added expense that falls into how much went into the building of the car... Would i b bidding if I thought it were all bad? Hello....

  • MotorcarsofJackson (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@charlesy_seruya and @Krazyoneis .. I hope nobody is implying that because that is not true. AS STATED, we have a binder with before photos of the car at the facility in excellent condition, photos during the build, after the build, and a ton of receipts totaling over $167k . The "collision repair facility" on the Carfax literally says to install the GT3 RS parts and paint the vehicle. No accident on Carfax, no damage on the car. You can tell from the Carfax, the customer purchased the vehicle and within 2 months it went from Louisiana to Wicked and was having this done. He purchased the car to do this. Any other questions please ask, don't assume.

  • charlesy_seruya (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Krazyoneis Hi are you implying that the color change was to cover up damage??

  • charlesy_seruya (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Hi, how much lower to the ground is the front end of the car compared to a 991 911?

  • Krazyoneis (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@larrycable ....and a color change too - docs show started as black before going to Collision shop....

  • larrycable (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

So the "sticker" on this is $128k for the donor (991.1S) plus another $167k?

    Speedster?

@Krazyoneis .. It was built in California by Wicked. It has a GT3RS style center exhaust and tips. The cats are still on. I will post the full list of components included in the build in a separate comment.

  • Krazyoneis (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Before I get too far in, will this car still pass Commie Californication smog test? I’m guessing there was no need to mess with exhaust system on the Carrera S and most newer porsches meet all 50 state smog requirements but don’t want to take anything for granted...

  • MotorcarsofJackson (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Krazyoneis it is great fun to drive!

  • Krazyoneis (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

It will never be a collectors item being all show and no go, but could be a fun daily driver...?

I so love the Wicked conversions, but equally hate how it’s so rarely ever done on the proper donor car. What a cool car this is, but it seems to be the poster child of all show and no go.

@MotorcarsofJackson @MotorcarsofJackson: Thank you for your clarification. I love what Wicked did with this 991.1. However, I drive a 2018 991.2 Targa 4 GTS with a manual transmission and I feel like I would be going backwards in performance with your car despite the fantastic body work and bespoke interior. I would definitely be a bidder if this car had more power and a manual transmission. Good luck with this auction. The car is breathtaking.

  • MotorcarsofJackson (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@BarryLe .. Thank you for your question. We have a binder with photos and receipts from the build. The customer who commissioned this custom build told us he spent $200k on the build alone, not including the car. I just sat down and totaled all of the receipts that I have for the build, (which may not be all of them) and the total is over $167k in receipts, not including the car. The customer was so pleased with this build, that he has since had an Audi R8 spyder customized by Wicked. This is a gorgeous car sitting on our showroom floor. The buyer will receive the original window sticker and the binder with receipts and photos of the build.

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Quick question as I am a bit confused. Does the $200,000.00 conversion cost include the cost of the original 991 Carrera S Cab?

  • BarryLe (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Love the conversion. The car is truly beautiful. I would have “bid to win” had the owner started with a manual transmission car. Clearly this car wants for more power as well.

  • MotorcarsofJackson (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    @GentlemanRacer Thank you, we agree!!

  • GentlemanRacer (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

This looks stunning! Imagination is everything.

  • Krazyoneis (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

So the engine, chassis, transmission is still stock Carrera S? Like a c2s wearing a beautiful GT3RS jacket LOL

  • MotorcarsofJackson (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Welcome to our latest auction! This is a gorgeous car, and we are looking forward to delivering it to its new owner!
Thank you for looking! And bidding!
